Shopping
With our advantageous position in the heart of one of Istanbul’s most historical neighborhoods, we’re the perfect starting point for an extensive shopping spree in the labyrinthine Grand Bazaar, or the Spice Market. Or indeed any one of the many local street markets that spring up throughout the city at all times.
Grand Bazaar
The world’s oldest and biggest covered bazaar is literally minutes away from the hotel. Composed of 60 streets and nearly 4000 stores (with jewelry, carpets and other local artifacts being the most prominent), the Grand Bazaar is a one-of-a-kind experience whether one chooses to shop or not.
Spice Market
Located in the nearby Eminönü district and commissioned in the mid 1th century, Istanbul’s second biggest closed bazaar is in fact a part of a complex of buildings, including a mosque. Dry plants, herbs and myriad spices are sold in this colorful and bustling market.
Istanbul, however, offers a vast selection of contemporary shopping with world class Turkish and global brands, dining and entertainment in a number of chic and attractive districts beyond the Old City.
Please as our concierge for tips on some of our favorite shops as well as some hidden gems to be founds in districts such as Etiler, Nişantaşı, Beyoğlu, Bağdat Caddesi (on the Asian side of the city), and in large and upscale malls like City’s Kanyon, İstinye Park, Akmerkez and Zorlu Center.
